Last night was so busy, I arrived at 9.30 with some of the Perthquake crew and the line was already past the edge of the building, I think there were a few disgruntled fans because they didn’t have tickets and weren’t going to get in, but if you didn’t buy a ticket for the whole 3 weeks they were on sale then I’m sorry but more fool you! Considering it was one of the best nights I’ve seen in a while, and there was a cool variety of music thrown to the crowd, from my happy little indie set, Hickeys bad ass bass (including that awesome Rico Tubbs Boom Riddim Sharkslayer remix), Bad Weather put on some Major Lazer, N.A.S.A., Digitalism and some Rage! Then Bag Raiders hit the decks with a heap of indie including passion pit, floating, anyway, and turbo love, playing Shooting Stars made everyone go nuts as expected, and they dropped bits and pieces before throwing in the whole song, then they moved into Missy Elliott, Jay-Z and finished off with a couple of bangers like Boys Noize’s Jeffer and Mr Oizo’s Positif. I think overall Bag Raiders brought a load of energy and fun in a very varied dj set.
