Bass Kleph is coming to play Tech Knights (info, tickets) next week and he’s become one of Australia’s best known tech-housr artists. Even though it’s not a genre I’d usually follow admittedly I’ve had the best time researching and listening to all things BK. I have a soft spot for a good hook, and some sweet ass popish vocals (see his track with Kid Massive and Chris Arnott below Everything Is Alright (Bass Kleph Remix). We had a pretty solid chat about the future of Bass Kelph and all things related to record labels and the American house scene, I highly recommend you read on for some pretty good opinions and knowledge of dance music. Full interview after the jump…

support from Audageous, Robot Skream, Dead Vents. + Jack Spaks
The Danger phenomenon is one that cannot be missed.
Danger exploded onto the scene in 2007 and emerged as an integral artist of the French electro scene.
After a hit EP 11h30, a sold out vinyl in 3 weeks, remixing the likes of Kanye West, Sebastien Tellier, La Roux and The Midnight Juggernauts, Danger returns to with his first shows in Australia since 2007 and first LIVE show in Perth ever.
The live show is one of epic proportions; the massive stage show incorporates live instrumentals, an incredible stage and lighting show, and the amazing visual costume of Danger himself.

There are certain simple things in life we choose to overlook, take for granted and that we let pass us by.
..
Kickin it on a Sunday,
Crew,
Tunes,
Live Art,
Brews or cocktails in hand,
Chillin.
In collaboration with the ‘Double Lucky’ and ‘The Butcher Shop’ we invite you come and de-stress after a crazy Easter period and jump into a straight Sunday vibe on May 22nd. The town of Vincent have cut the red tape, allowing us make the surrounding laneway ours by fencing off the area and splaying out an externally located bar, sound/Dj booth, and furniture set-up for your laziness.
Slide through any time between 2pm to 7pm to catch the re-paint of Double Lucky’s three outer walls by a selection of the cream of the crop of Perth Aerosol artists. We’ve blacked out the walls to create a blank canvas for you to watch the masterpiece come together, live. After the sunsets, the party moves inside for an intimate mix-up both of tunes and dranks til 10pm!
Ol school / funky Hip Hop, Broken Beat & some melodic Dubstep sounds for good measure will be the soundtrack of the day.
Delivered by an All-star local line-up.

Winners of countless PDMA’s over the last few years, both Shockone & Phetsta have topped JJJ’s super request, and ‘The Sun’ is still being played regularly on daytime radio 2 years after its release.
Shockone’s achievments include having the #1 drum & bass and #1 dubstep track on Beatport at the same time, Aswell as being featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 5 – the dream for any drum & bass producer.
Phetsta’s Prism EP with Run You Down is still in the Beaport Dubstep top 10 six weeks after its release, and the video clip was the #6 most watched youtube music video in January 2011 (!!!!!!)…
Keep an eye out for their hotly anticipated single “Crucify Me’ which is finished with the release being imminent, watch this space
Friday night was the most fun I’ve had in a long time, not only because I hadn’t been out in a while, but because I got to hear and see a load of stuff I wouldn’t usually seek out. From the funky sounds of The Brow Horn Orchestra, to Tom Thum’s amazing linguistic abilities to Sampology’s very nice visual monster mash. Everything went well together and it was great to see something different at Razar. Enjoy the promo for Sampolgy’s Visual Monster Mash Tour before you read on. Full review after the jump…
