Rebellion Der Träumer – Rebellion of the Dreamers

Innovation. If there is a quality that separates the good producer from the ground-breaking, innovation is surely it, and these boys have it in spades. The lovechild of a chance meeting near the Baltic Sea, the now Hamburg based project of Christian Hilscher and Nico Plagemann has risen to new heights of notoriety since the November release of their debut album, Rebellion der Träumer. Featuring a number of immaculate feature tracks separated by subtly nuanced interludes the album is simply sublime. Upon release they dominated Beatport’s Top 100 in not just one, but four genres. From deep house to dub step the duo have demonstrated a degree of well executed versatility rarely encountered, but always appreciated. Maintaining the same attention to detail and carefully crafted textures iconic of their earlier deep and tech-house releases, this venture across genres plays like the soundtrack to a surrealistic epic.

The live sound these guys produce is nothing short of amazing, When Nico and Christian start working the crowd, it’s like somebody dumping a bucket of energy on the dance floor. Kollektiv Turmstrasse makes music for the moment and for eternity.

KRUSE & NUERNBERG

The dynamic German duo are gracing the shores of Australia bringing the sex that is their music, spoiling your ears with all the audible candy they can take. Expect mood music… good mood music, that makes you feel, makes you move, makes you smile, makes you love… For anyone in the know they don’t need no introduction, the duo has embraced the deep house scene to the max and has in return been embraced by the whole house community…

Releases on labels like NRK, Fred Everything’s Lazy Days (’Sliced & Chopped EP’), Noir Music and Kolour Recordings, have all contributed to the duo’s success and popularity. Their single ‘Gone Daft’ on Slip N Slide, featuring a dirty filter-disco remix from legendary DJ Sneak was played by everyone from Mark Knight to Luke Solomon and Jimpster, and forthcoming remixes of Mr.V and Dennis Ferrer (both on King Street) are sure to raise the bar even further. Tracks and Remixes over the past year include releases on Milton Jackson’s Dark Energy label; Simple; Mood Music; Dieb Audio; Slip N Slide and MN2S sub label 1-trax and of course their own Save Room Recordings, all subject to the same rigorous quality control and high musical standards. Since their humble beginnings as solo producers but more importantly together as Kruse & Nϋrnberg they have gradually climbed closer to the tree-top with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground deep house infused with tech-house. Whether it be bumpy, deep or techy, his honest appreciation for the sounds he plays is highly visible from his infectious demeanour behind the decks…

Lucid Dreaming’s first show of 2011 is looking dope!

What a year 2010 was, once again we would like to thank you all for partying with us and for helping LD make the top 3 best club night in the state! Now it is time to move onwards and upwards, we are preparing some pretty cool stuff for our parties in 2011 and will continue to create a unique experiences that you might not see in your average club night! With your continued su…pport we hope to expand onto bigger and more elaborate things, so watch our movements through out the year

This year we are also starting up an ‘Optional donation’ box that you can if you like what we do contribute on entry or exit. This will go towards future parties and to help build the LD brand.

This month see’s some of the smoothest LD residents mixed with a few new faces to get the party started. Making his LD debut with one of our favorite’s Matt, (aka Balance) is OLI a super talented artist who has cemented him self in the Perth scene for quite some time now. You might have seen him getting dance floors moving at Ambar and Festival’s around town, we welcome him to LD and can not wait to see what OLI and MATT come up with.

We would also like to welcome Carl Drake to the line up, after strutting his stuff on the LD academy we are very much looking forward to him getting the party started and his chugg on!

Our resident’s who by now need no introduction Kid Deep, Richard Lee and Harry Webb have been smashing LD to piece’s over the last 12 months and this night will be no exception! Expect big things from these guys as they always seem to impress!

On the visuals and behind the camera we will have VJ Martino creating an unprecedented atmosphere and capturing those classic LD shots. Last months visuals from LD were so spectacular we can not wait to see what he has in store for us this month!

With the Likes Of You clashing with Lucid Dreaming we have been lucky enough to exchange dates so for this month we are presenting LD a week early.

Lucid Dreaming has round up some of the most sought after and talented artists Perth has to offer. Saturday 8th May sees Lucid Dreaming return to The Velvet Lounge after a month long break sorting out its younger sibling Fore!!!

We are back and in better form than ever, with an array of new DJ’s gracing the booth for their debut LD performance and also introducing our new resident graphic designer, Samantha Williams, we are extremely excited for another season of Lucid Dreaming debauchery!

Our plan is to bring you the best dance music Artists Perth has to offer with no limitations on what can be played. We book the artists based on their creativity, skill and ability to get the dance floor moving. We give these artists a platform to perform and express themselves in ways they may not be able to under other Promoters or Clubs.

Lucid Dreaming are proud to announce that they are turning 2 and to celebrate they are hosting a pleasure cruise down the river with some of Perth’s finest Techno and House Djs.

For the last couple of years, they have been providing Perth with some of the most chic nights that has both stimulated and excited the local dance populous, and just hot off their last show with Marco Resmann and their intimate party with Sven Vath they are looking to kick it sideways with the impending birthday celebrations.

The crew are extending that invitation to you and is looking forward to making the day a special, intimate experience to say thank you for making the last 2 years memorable and to celebrate the many more years of revolutionary parties to come!
