Since their first forays into drum & bass production back in 2002 The Brookes Brothers have come a very long way, establishing themselves as one of the A-list production power-houses in the scene today. Signed exclusively by Breakbeat Kaos in 2007, the duo have gone on to chart-topping success and garnered recognition that most can only dream of within only a few years.

Their debut single on BBK ‘Hard Knocks’ b/w ‘Mistakes’ saw them off with a bang, picking up huge support from not only the likes of Andy C and Grooverider but also Zane Lowe and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. Collaborations followed in 2008 with Ram’s Culture Shock and also with Hospital’s Danny Byrd whose joint effort ‘Goldrush’ received massive plaudits from critics everywhere. It was their remix of J Majik & Wickaman’s ‘Crazy World’ though the same year that did what not many other D&B producers have ever managed to do and make it onto national daytime radio playlists. Now rapidly becoming a household name the remix requests began to pour in and their glorious re-work of ‘Star Guitar’ was one of the many outstanding results.

Proving they were no flash in the pan the brothers then came up with their biggest release to date, the awe-inspiring, Radio 1 play-listed, ‘Tear You Down’. Spending 2 weeks at no.1 in the UK dance chart and a further 15 weeks in the top 20, even being made ‘Record Of the Week’ by Radio 1’s Sara Cox gave them yet another injection of worldwide critical acclaim that others will find hard to beat. Since then remix work for the likes of Norman Cook and Chase & Status has kept their name in lights along with a hectic global DJing schedule.

Now as the imminent release of their eagerly awaited debut album approaches in February 2011, The Brookes Brothers look set to reach the upper echelons of dance music and take the world by storm with their unique brand of soulful, future-thinking, dance floor drum & bass.

Neurofunk master PHACE returns to our shores this coming May… GERMANYS ÜBER-PRODUCTION OUTFIT…. (Mixmag Magazine).

Over the past years, Germany´s Phace has cemented a prominent role within the international Drum & Bass and Broken Beats scene with a plethora of distinct and outstanding releases on the scene’s biggest labels such as Renegade Hardware, Subtitles Music, Virus Recordings, Shogun Audio, Vision, Lifted, and Cyanide, amongst many others. The unique sound of Phace is imbued with deep cinematic flourishes, explosive energy, and a human analog touch, piquing demand for appearances at clubs, festivals and within the music press around the globe. Voted as ‘Best National Drum & Bass Producer and DJ’ in 2006 and ‘Best National Producer’ in 2009 at Germany’s Future Music Awards, Phace has proven early in his career what he’s capable of, both behind the boards and on the decks.

The gritty and rebellious debut album Psycho released in 2007 on the Subtitles Music Imprint was voted Album of the Month in Mixmag, and successfully garnered massive support by top international acts like Andy C, Noisia, Pendulum, Goldie, Ed Rush & Optical, Teebee & Calyx, Friction, and Spor. As a DJ, the Hamburg-based artist is known for his precise and energetic sets, and his constant touring has taken him to metropolises in all corners of the planet.

At the tail end of 2008, Phace joined forces with long-time friend Misanthrop and launched Neosignal, Phace’s long-awaited record label, and unleashed celebrated singles, remixes (for UK’s Hadouken!) and collaborations (with Noisia, Misanthrop and Spor) throughout 2009. Phace began work on ‘Phase II’ for Neosignal in 2010 with his heavily anticipated second full-length, From Deep Space, released to great fanfare within the international D’n’B scene. After a worldwide album tour in the first half of the year, Fall 2010 marks Phace’s return to the recorded realm on Neosignal’s next set of singles.

Ministry of Sound, Knowledge Music and Mizhap Productions proudly present the return of the one and only BORGORE

Borgore aka Asaf Borger , is a 24 years old dubstep producer who’s known for breaking conventions.

Studying jazz music and classic theory from the age of 5, mastering the saxophone and exploring different musical genres and music instruments over the years, Borgore is an artist of no boundaries.

His tunes are known for bringing new things to the table causing conformists discomfort, and that’s even before they’ve heard his explicit lyrics.

Borgore’s success is down to hard work and minimum short cuts. Being based in Tel Aviv and living away from the major scenes and having no support from bigger artists or connection with the right people, Borgore achieved his goals through social networks to build his dedicated fans base.

Today Borgore works with major artists and is continuously touring worldwide. Buygore is Borgore’s platform to give people the chance to dare to be different.

Supports include the Local Badman DR SPACE, Pacemaker, Saxon and JS

MindTheGap bring you yet another accomplished drum and bass act unlike others that have visited our shores! Calibre aka Dominick Martin is a Soulful. Deep and Amazing drum and bass producer out of the UK. England? No! Ireland…whhaaa? Originally a violinist and a drummer, he discovered electronic music through early Detroit Techno and House. Influenced by his sibling he slowly evolved to the sounds of the bass added to his drum kit and went on to release albums on one of Fabios labels.

After listening to his myspace page (I didn’t know this site still existed), I am thoroughly impressed by what can only be described as beautiful drum and bass. The type you listen to when trying to introduce your parents to the music you love. Along side MC Devastating. Rhyme. Specialist (DRS) who has appeared on many of LTJ Bukems tracks. You know the duo are going to impress. Arrive at Shape, Wednesday 30th March, and the friendly staff from MindTheGap and the crowd will no doubt be giving free hugs and possibly shedding a tear to what will be a truly inspiring night! This is an act that you do not want to miss!!!

One of the very first artists to sign to the fledgling Hospital label – way back at the turn of the millennium, Danny Byrd’s own inimitable take on soulful, vocal Drum and Bass has become a staple in the scene. His use of hip hop, house and R&B influences immediately began turning heads with his first Hospital outings.

2008 saw the release of Danny’s long awaited long player “Supersized”. Featuring the massive anthems “Shock Out” and “Red Mist feat I-Kay” this giant of an album saw massive support from big hitters such as Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, and the mighty Andy C. The VIP version “Red Mist VIP feat I-Kay”catapulted its way onto the daytime Radio One playlist receiving over Six hours of Radio One play in 2009, all to itself.

Following this up Danny brought liquid’s rave classic “Sweet Harmony” up to date in spectacular fashion. The hit single reached number one in the UK dance singles chart and took Danny’s to a whole new audience.

Championing a revival of classic dance music sounds along with his own unique and forward thinking production the second Danny Byrd studio album “Rave Digger” was unleashed October 2010. The lead single “Ill Behaviour feat I-Kay” smashed it’s way into the UK top 40. The Byrd has landed!

Supported by Qbik, Access and Jazza

By combining sound and force with weight, the Bassnectar experience engulfs the senses. It is as physical as it is auditory; the adventure has no rules, no limitations, and no hesitation in fusing the familiar with the strange or the classic with the cutting edge.

Bassnectar is the brainchild of Lorin Ashton, and it exists as an open-sourced musical project that is as diverse as it is heavy, as raw as it is meticulous, and as fierce as it is imaginary. Spanning the spectrum of sonic style, the music covers every genre imaginable and smashes it all into a synthesis of intense, wobbling basslines and hypnotic soundscapes.

Whether remixing, collaborating, writing, DJing, performing live, or working on constant social networking, Bassnectar’s music is the lure and social impact is the sincere intention. According to Ashton, “We are so blessed, and so deeply fortunate to be alive and awake right now…it’s a basic truth, but it’s very powerful. I think privilege confers responsibility, and Bassnectar is a reflection of that opportunity to give back; the motion of my cells bouncing back at the world.”

Bassnectar’s most recent releases are Wildstyle (2010), Timestretch (2010) and Cozza Frenzy (2009)

Through his self-run Amorphous Music label and Bassnectar Labs studio, he has remixed/collaborated with the likes of KRS-One, Perry Farrel, Fever Ray, Spearhead, STS9, Buckethead, Tappa Zuki, and Zumbi of Zion I; as well as various remix projects with producers such as Z-trip, Diplo, BT, 6Blocc, DJ Vadim, and RJD2.

Along the way, the Bassnectar tour has headlined stops at some of the most noted venues in the country. After a long line of sell-out shows, Bassnectar never fails to gather monster crowds on the festival circuit. Some of his most celebrated sets took place at the nation’s top festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, ACL, Bonnaroo, and Ultra Music Festival.

Whether performing at an intimate club or at a major festival, Bassnectar energizes audiences with an experience unlike any other.

Inhibit presents: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (UK) [V Recordings] …”STAND ALONE LP TOUR”

plus! QBIK & SEEKA MC, Dvise, Deflo, Gracie. MCs: Bear, Rtilary & Tenacity

‘Stand Alone’ has been making huge waves over the last few months:

-Nominated in DJ Mag & Idj Albums of the Year

-Top 10 worldwide I-tunes Dance Albums Chart

- ATM / DJ Mag / Idj cover features Sept – Nov

Hailing from North London, Artificial Intelligence are a production duo comprising of Zula Warner and Glenn Herweijer. Riding high on their early success they state their ethos as wanting ‘ to spread our music to as many people as possible, that’s the whole reason for doing it in the first place. It’s the satisfaction of making it but also of spreading it to as many people as possible. Not like a preacher or someone on the TV. We prefer to let our music do the talking across the world. You make some kind of mark on people’s minds.’

While they have often been tagged as ‘newcomers’ onto the drum & bass scene, the boys are far from it. Working their way up from the top, they have racked up over ten years of experience and boy has it been a busy ten years… As a production unit, A.I’s releases are anything but predictable and they tend to reflect a variety of drum&bass styles. Over the years they have spanned the slighter darker side, with releases out on Commercial Suicide and 31 Record, as well as flirting with some other labels including Full Cycle, Goodlooking and CIA. A.I have even dabbled with commercial labels, releasing remixes of some of the biggest dance and hip hop tracks of the past few years including Kelis’s Trick Me, Eric Prydz Slammin’ and more recently Fat Freddys Drop Cays Crays.

Since their first release, ‘Hooked On’, on V Recordings in 2003, AI’s reputation has been growing with each release with “Desperado” voted as top dnb track of 2007 by Radio 1 listeners and their single “Uprising” voted by the public as the biggest d’n’b track on BBC Radio 1 in 2006. Four years later and the A.I. duo have finally finished their much anticipated debut album “Stand Alone”. The album takes you on a complete journey through all the d’n’b styles featuring collaborations with close allies dBridge, Krust, Marky and the vocal talents of DRS, Jenna G, and Steo. With regular support from the likes of Grooverider, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Hype, Andy C, Chase & Status and massive remixes for Kelis, Eric Prydz, Roni Size and Goldie under their belt, A.I. are set to storm the world with their new album tour from October.

DEATHFACE has been rocking dancefloors for over 10 years under the name Johnny Love, blowing up worldwide a few years back as part of the LA electro juggernaut Guns’n’Bombs. Johnny has since moved into darker, dubbier territory, delivering some seriously nasty electro-rave-dubstep hybrids with two EPs on Trouble and Bass, the New York label responsible for the like of Drop the Lime, AC Slater, Rico Tubbs and more. Alongside Johnny comes Perths very own Bass Royalty, Shockone, who has been making waves in the global d’n'b and dubstep communities for a few years. With a pile of huge singles and remixes under his belt he is preparing to drop his highly anticipated debut album in 2011. Solid Local support comes from the finest players in the game Rekab (PDMA winner 09/10) and D.Y.P.
