Now I know what all the fuss is about when people mention the Laneway festivals! Nestled amongst the museum, tafe, the art gallery and the library was the best stage set-up I’ve experienced in, well ever. There was virtually no cross over of sounds (except when listening to Mumford and Sons or Sarah Blasko if you were at the back, but trust me it was so far back it was still acceptable) . The crowd was filled with music appreciators (based on broad stereotypes of what music appreciators look like). Best of all, there was super quick bar service despite the huge crowd, hooray! I should probably tell you about the music know too, but that’s all after the jump (mainly because I was in way over my head!)
