This documentary looks awesome, and at the same time frustrating. From the trailer I get the impression it’s just going to be lots of different peoples opinions about ‘blog house.’ I don’t really have time for opinions (ironically despite most of my own interviews are filled with opinion!) Maybe it’s the way the artists present themselves, who gives a shit what Lil Jon or Pitbull think? I like it when artist, or anyone for that matter, can back up what they say with good evidence, then debate about it. The problem with music/art is it’s often down to what people think, and their perception of what is going on. These artists are immersed in a scene and it isn’t easy to step out of that scene and look at the whole thing objectively. This doesn’t mean that this documentary won’t be interesting, because it is going to show some awesome points of view, but it looks like it’s presented as fact, which makes me really skeptical! Maybe this is just my impression, and obviously there will be more to this. Not sure when it’s coming out in australia, but I’ll let you know.
