Glitter Womb, this Friday, at The Republic. FKNMIDAS has created a great night of disco, and then a load of everything and anything else that’s going to make you dance. I got to ask FKNMIDAS a few questions about his own production and Glitter Womb. There’s a track below that you have to listen to, it has already been repeated 3 times in about 12 minutes (the max it can be, as it’s just over 4 minutes long). Full interview after the jump…

What got you into producing music?
I have always written played music but I never really enjoyed the logistics involved in playing in bands. It’s weird, but I find that

So this post is being done without me knowing anymore than you. Well I know Sexy is a regular night with Boy Crazy Stacey, JackAttack and Petros Rhythm Machina, but other than that I know no more… except there’s a big international coming and if you join the facebook group you will find out more!

What: Clark
Where: The Republic
When: 6 November 2009
Cost/Ticket details: TBA
Hearing Clark’s tracks is very exciting, he’s on Warp, the label of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, some of the coolest experimental electronica artists there are. For me, this is incredibly exciting music, it’s so all over the place, kind of like my writing, and I think that’s what draws me to it, I don’t know what to do! Just go have a listen to the tracks on his myspace.

There might not be a harvest to celebrate this friday but you can still enjoy the cream of the crop (yes, witty joke!) at LSF. I went last week and really enjoyed listening to some old tracks, especially when my phone informed me that several tracks were from ‘high energy gay classics,’ take a guess at who was playing that… yep JackAttack. Well I think there’s plenty more cool tunes for you to hear this friday, so get down for the cream… of the crop.
What: Voltaire Twins
Where: The Republic
When: 4 September 2009
Cost/Ticket details: 5, Door sales only
Hardworking brother and sister duo Jaymes and Tegan Voltaire are ready for the launch of their D.I.L. I saw them last time they played republic, and there was a fair sized crowed getting their groove on to some well known Voltaire Twins tracks. I think the best part is, each time they perform there are new little tweaks and changes to tracks to make them even better than I previously thought.
