Lucid Dreaming’s first show of 2011 is looking dope!
What a year 2010 was, once again we would like to thank you all for partying with us and for helping LD make the top 3 best club night in the state! Now it is time to move onwards and upwards, we are preparing some pretty cool stuff for our parties in 2011 and will continue to create a unique experiences that you might not see in your average club night! With your continued su…pport we hope to expand onto bigger and more elaborate things, so watch our movements through out the year 
This year we are also starting up an ‘Optional donation’ box that you can if you like what we do contribute on entry or exit. This will go towards future parties and to help build the LD brand.
This month see’s some of the smoothest LD residents mixed with a few new faces to get the party started. Making his LD debut with one of our favorite’s Matt, (aka Balance) is OLI a super talented artist who has cemented him self in the Perth scene for quite some time now. You might have seen him getting dance floors moving at Ambar and Festival’s around town, we welcome him to LD and can not wait to see what OLI and MATT come up with.
We would also like to welcome Carl Drake to the line up, after strutting his stuff on the LD academy we are very much looking forward to him getting the party started and his chugg on!
Our resident’s who by now need no introduction Kid Deep, Richard Lee and Harry Webb have been smashing LD to piece’s over the last 12 months and this night will be no exception! Expect big things from these guys as they always seem to impress!
On the visuals and behind the camera we will have VJ Martino creating an unprecedented atmosphere and capturing those classic LD shots. Last months visuals from LD were so spectacular we can not wait to see what he has in store for us this month!

Saturday 8th May sees Lucid Dreaming return to The Velvet Lounge after a month long break sorting out its younger sibling Fore!!!
We are back and in better form than ever, with an array of new DJ’s gracing the booth for their debut LD performance and also introducing our new resident graphic designer, Samantha Williams, we are extremely excited for another season of Lucid Dreaming debauchery!
Our plan is to bring you the best dance music Artists Perth has to offer with no limitations on what can be played. We book the artists based on their creativity, skill and ability to get the dance floor moving. We give these artists a platform to perform and express themselves in ways they may not be able to under other Promoters or Clubs.

Melbourne-based expats Midnight Circus are no stranger to our shores, with most of the band originating from Perth. Inspired by the progressive electronic sounds of Australian groups like The Presets, and the 80’s rock legacy left behind by Icehouse, INXS and others, Midnight Circus represents the new wave of Australian electro rock. Armed with a powerful sound and an infectious stage presence, Midnight Circus is quickly building a reputation as one of the best live acts on the east coast music scene. Having spent six weeks at number 1 on the JJJ Unearthed charts with their hits ‘Midnight’ and ‘Time has Come’, the band have been riding the airwaves and enjoying rave reviews for their high energy, packed house shows.
With James Dunn and Stu Copeland up front sharing vocal leads, Dave Robbins on lead guitar and Rick Stroud on drums, the band return home this summer for their first tour in two years which will include playing at Velvet Lounge on December 30th, Cuban Club Festival on New Years Day and Summadayze Festival on January 3rd. “We are pumped to be back home this summer and can’t wait to play our new stuff to what will basically be a home crowd for us”, says singer James Dunn. “It has been a huge year for the band and having just finished recording, we are counting the days until we hit Perth and finish the year with a bang.”

Boom. is a collaborative publication supporting Perth artists. It came out of discussions on WA’s obsession with industry and it’s lack of support for young Perth creatives. Boom. includes works from visual artists, fashion designers, architectural designers, musicians, photographers and writers, who focus on how Perth’s Boom has affected or not affected their lives. They’re getting together to celebrate some new footage from Ben Stewart and listen to some cool bands play! You get a copy of their latest publication with the tenner you pay to get in.
