Remember when your parents used to tell you to turn your music down? Your latest Skitz Mix or Snoop Dogg album would get you into all sorts of trouble. Nothin’ but “god forsaken noise” the old timers would say. They just didn’t get it. Well Friday night gave us all the oppurtunity to get one back on Pops and the Old Lady as party makers Tick Tock and record labellers Paper Chain combined their powers to create Trouble & Bass; a bass music spectacular featuring ex Guns ‘N’ Bombs badboy Deathface, and an all star local line up to bring the bass to the place, more specifically Ambar. Break it down for the full review.

Brace yourself cos the mercury is on the rise again at Villa which can only mean one thing.. STEAMWORKS IS BACK!
The first Steamworks saw Ajax, Bag Raiders and Killa Queenz melting the dancefloor to a capacity crowd for one of the hottest parties of the year, this time we have gone international with another piping hot triple header.
Mightyfools are back to destroy Perth dance floors again and as Denmark’s favourite Party Junkies and label mates to the likes of CROOKERS and HIJACK on the influential Pottymouth imprint, destruction is imminent.
Consisting of DJ PUSHUPS and SIR NENIS of Finland’s infamous TOP BILLIN collective, SHARKSLAYER have been killing parties and festivals the world over and now have their targets set on Australian Waters.
Flight Facilites are the most enigmatic pilots in modern disco and are touching down at Steamworks as part of their maiden voyage tour. With their debut single ‘Crave You’ blowing up all over the world, these boys have been racking up more frequent flyer points than Howard Hughes, this is one flight you do not want to miss.

Cost/Ticket details: 20, shape, door sales if available
Last time Pase Rock turned up to Shape I remember a very very very busy club. I think this will be no exception. Hip-hop. electro indie all rolled into one. And PhDj sounds like he’d be a Shannon Fox/Sleater Brockman kind of Dj, which I’m really getting into at the moment, I love the ‘play a bit of everything’ house party kind of Dj, as long as they do it smoothly. Mickey Juice and I decided without the smoothness it loses lots of credibility.
Last night was so busy, I arrived at 9.30 with some of the Perthquake crew and the line was already past the edge of the building, I think there were a few disgruntled fans because they didn’t have tickets and weren’t going to get in, but if you didn’t buy a ticket for the whole 3 weeks they were on sale then I’m sorry but more fool you! Considering it was one of the
