This will be the first official weekend of Summer so Warm Kitten has joined forces with Perthquake to shake the Norfolk Basement like an earthquake.

The plan is to throw down the soundtrack to your summer – bigger than a Hummer, so hot you’ll need a hose down, As we go nuts for coconuts and tango like a mango.

The birds and the bees of spring are getting tired, students are on holiday and the festive season is about to get fired…

…Into oblivion (doesn’t rhyme).

Basically, there is no better place to be come Friday December 3 As we get stuck in for SUMMER TO BEGIN!!!

But wait there’s more! Proceeds are going to a great cause – straight

to the ICEA Foundation to help out the kids in the far north.

Perthquake, Scenic and Warm Kitten proudly present the first ever MAYBE DANCING WILL HELP!
We are being told that the Perth club scene is dying if not already in the ground. This may or may not be true, but that’s okay, because Fremantle is the new (and wildly more fun), Perth. With that in mind WA’s premier electronic music blog PERTHQUAKE has rallied up a few talented performers for a night of debauched disco, nefarious nu-disco and… fuck I’m sorry I’m totally rambing… we just wanna have a fun night with some good tunes. And providing those good tunes will be:
TABULARAZA, with their first ever completely LIVE show (none of this playing off Ableton). This up-and-coming duo craft the kind of dreamy, fun, grooving synth-disco jams that will literally prevent you from doing anything other than dance. And supporting these lads will be good friends and disco fiends in their own right, HOLY THURSDAY, HIPPO CAMP and of course your hosts, the PERTHQUAKE DJs.
We’re all getting pretty tired of a club scene that appears to be imploding on itself, and Fremantle is there for the taking. Full of eager kids who just wanna party, we need to unite to form what will be a fucking awesome Friday night.
From 8pm til 12am at the Norfolk Basement, the party jams kick-on at King Tito’s Dirty Disco at the East End Bar.
It’s early days yet, so keep your eyes peeled for a spanking new flyer and *fingers crossed* possibly even some transport from the big, dead smoke for those too scared to tackle the 15 minute trip southward.
There’s a burgeoning scene of damn cool producers rising up and making dancing fun again, and we look forward to showcasing it for you come June 18!

I’ve been meaning to post this for several weeks now, and I’m finally around to it! I’m not entirely sure how I found Warm Kitten (this seems to be a common theme in my discovering of all things Perth) but I’m really glad I found them. I should probably just end this post after saying – how good is the tagline?! haha but I won’t because you need to know what the blogs all about…

There’s a great selection of disco-influenced music and commentary too! You can often catch the man behind Warm Kitten at Llama Bar playing for Run Rabbit Run as Jorg Thor I believe, is that right George?! Anyway you’ll here more about Warm Kitten soon, this is just to let you know it exists if you didn’t already
